so on friday in baltimore, ill have a lot of work up at NUDASHANK, along with Amir H. Fallah, Jason Redwood and John Bohl.

and then on saturday here in LA, ill be in a show at Synchronicity Space sponsored by Colt 45 and curated by Beautiful Decay

finally, august 1st will see the release of my first long format comic book, which maybe i've hinted at. more on that soon, i would guess.

heres some new reduction woodcuts which i made for the Pick Me Up show in london last month. The couple on horses come as a pair and i originally made these as stencil screen prints ( seen in an earlier post) but the results weren't great, so reworked them as woodcuts, which was a process that suited my work better

the second print 'swimmers ' sold out at the show but a have a couple of artist proofs for sale.

the stencil screen print i have been working on for somerset house is just needing the lack to finish. its been a good learning curve and the edition becomes smaller and smaller with every colour added due to mistakes. The image registration is perhaps too important on this image, not really embracing the technique and with 4 colours there is little chance for each stencil to match. the frisk film holds up a lot better than paper but with large areas can be tricky to apply without any small air bubbles that can trap ink. the aim was an edition of 20 but it could end up being between 5-10

recently finished these two cushions as a gift for laura. The front, a more narrative picture construct of a whale hunt, and the back shows two sides of the war in graphic symbols. The influence that has always been is in my paper work of asfaro flags comes even more to the forefront in these cushions. Being limited by skill and the physicality of the materials stops them having too much unnecessary detail and depth , which too often creeps into my paper work.

Hello, this is a lovely print of my drawings, litho printed on cavallini paper, ive shown it here folded up in to a book.
The print size is 594x841mm in grey ink on a beautiful textured paper. It has the title " A Brides Quilt" the year 2009 and my name printed on it in one corner. It was intended as luxury gift wrap but it is so beautifully printed that some people are framing it as a poster. It will be in my shop from this afternoon.

I made this book for a group show i am in starting next tuesday in Brick Lane at No More Grey Project Space as part of a residency its about Nature and Vegans and organic free range 100% corn fed fairtrade wheat free produce, and about being nice to animals, things like that. I have been making a lot of work the last 6 months. I have been sitting on a lot of it. I have stopped doing art shows for the most part. I have a studio now instead of working in my little apartment. As a result, my living space is much cleaner and I have a lot more space. I stopped updating my blog too. I have stopped answering most of my emails and my phone calls. I obtained a Nintendo Wii. I play video games by myself in the darkness.

Here is a little drawing from last whenever. It is on a piece of paper that had a letter written on it that I found in a box with a lot of other letters and songs and pictures. It was outside someone's apartment in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the box and papers smelled strongly of cigarettes.

The text reads:

"Dear Mrs Howard

I have to write you this letter to tell
you what a fuck up you are
thinking you can teach my Son (who is 2 yrs old)
Anything? You are a moron
and my Son is a Genius"
